Yes. You are not alone in this. My husband thinks I’m a bit kooky because I have told him this about me, but I am not a person “prone” to weird things at all.
My mother and 2 of my sistes said they have the same problem and a male friend of mine also said it happens to him. I have heard 2 theories.
We all know that the moon has something to do with the rising tides, well, we are 70% water and it could have an effect on certain people. Another theory was that those people who are “high energy” or who carry a bit higher resting pulse rate than average would be affected by the pulling of the full moon. Could cause restless sleep, fights, racing thoughts, etc…
No matter how “tired” I feel, I toss and turn and stare at the ceiling every full moon, sometimes I don’t realize it was a full moon until after a bad nights sleep, I have blackout shades in my bedroom. So I know it’s not all in my head.
i do… i have troubles sleeping all the time, but i’v enoticed it’s even harder durring fuller moons (not nessicarily just durring full moon)
can’t be because of the light either, my windows are boarded up..
“I cannot stand being in sunlight”
that’s why my windows are boarded up… lol
btw whoever gave me the thumbs down, well, take a thumbs up, straight up your $%$
its you just telling yourself that you have a problem with it
tell yourself that you can sleep better with a full moon and you will
The only time the full moon bothers me at night is when it shines in through the window to keep me awake if I don’t shut the blinds.
I KNOW! All those damm werewolves roaming about outside, breaking things, that CONSTANT howling, and all the cats are gone the next day if we forget to bring them inside that night… you’re telling me. Curse those nocturnal wolf-men!
A lot of people have trouble when it gets to their time of the month.
I hear that people have trouble at the full moon unless its cloudy and so they don’t know its a full moon, then there are no problems.
I keep my windows covered all the time. I cannot stand being in sunlight, and moonlight is annoying.
I do. It’s like the other guy said…all the friggin werewolves running around, howling all freekin night, pissing on my geraniums, playing that damn aweful rap music. I **** those damn werewolves! There outa be a law!
Actually, I find that I have trouble because when there’s a full moon i feel different as in gloomy, like it’s a different atmosphere around me.
I am but that is because the light from the moon shines through my window.
Werewolves
apparently my 14 month old does….she has slept through the night ever since we brought her home from the hospital, but for some reason, during a full moon, I can always count on her to wake up at around 4am.
Ive seen lots of Full Moons.!!
ALSO Lunar Eclipses.
The Moon is not a perfect Sphere.!
With my observations it is not!
well i might be perfect it might not be:).
Also last night, the Waxing Gibbous Moon.99% Full was soo bright when a airplane passed near it.I saw jet streams of the airplane which only can happen on bright day. When the Sun is up.
Also, the Moon is approaching its perigee it means its near the Earth. So tonight, the Moon will be soo bright because of its Full Phase and its comming close to Earth.
BTW,Perigee is on the 17
I apologise on behalf of humanity for the rest of those answers.
I came on here looking to see if anybody else shares my problem.
I too cannot sleep if it is a full moon. I have not slept the last two nights. I am sure that you are used to people telling you that it is all in your head, that if you didn’t know it was a full moon then you would sleep well?
But you know this isn’t true don’t you. This is not an answer to why, but merely an indication that you are not alone.
I have the same problem. Here is a link I found in another question that might suggest why. Too bad I couldn’t find an answer on how to fix it.
